Kasba nine domed mosque

There is an ancient mosque with nine domes in the place called Kasba in Gournadi upazila of Barisal District. This ancient mosque built in the square is estimated to be built during Khan-i-Jahan period (fifteenth century). There are 3 entrances to the east of the mosque.You will also see one entry path on the north and south side. The west wall has 3 mihrabas. The walls of the mosque are very spacious. The walls are about 6 feet thick. There are four rounds of monuments in the 4th corner of the mosque. You can see 4 pillars inside. The mosque length is 11.68 meters and the width is 11.68 meters.

        

To see this ancient mosque,you will have to come to a place called Kasba from Gouripur upazila by local transport. You can also come here hiring a micro-bus from Barisal Sadar.
